As the tensions around the world are intensifying and Islamic terrorist attacks are growing in frequency, Jewish people all over the world become natural targets.

Recently I had a very disturbing phone conversation with a head rabbi of Hebron, Danny Cohen. Hebron is located just 19 miles south of Jerusalem and is the largest city in the southern West Bank. It's Jewish community may not be large, but is undeniebly strong.

​

Rabbi Danny Cohen is a firm-minded soldier with many years of military leadership. For years, Rabbi Cohen remained hopeful, strong and did everything to maintain positive perspective despite the threat his community faced from the local terrorist organizations. He was always proud of Hebron, loved his city, and was never afraid to live there.

During our conversation Rabbi Cohen sounded very down and concerned for his family and the fate of the local Jewish community. I have known the man for many years, but has never seen or heard him talk in such distress. Many Jewish lives were lost due to terrorist attacks in Hebron.

In an effort to protect the innocent lives of the Jewish people of his community Danny Cohen is doing everything possible to safeguard his people against the evergrowing threat.

Rabbi Cohen has asked me to help him raise the funds that would allow members of his local Jewish community to obtain the means to protect themselves, in the form of security cameras, protective vests and equipment that would help defend their families and prevent the loss of more Jewish lives.
